Washington, D.C., December 8, 2021 – Following today’s executive order, the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility’s Head of Policy, Marla Westervelt, issued the following statement:

“President Biden’s Executive Order catalyzing clean energy industries and jobs through federal government sustainability underscores the need for urgent global action to tackle the ongoing climate crisis. This executive action will help us move towards a more resilient supply chain.

“Cleaner energy is necessary – but not sufficient – to promote the sustainable movement of goods around the planet. When combined with digitization, modernization, and connectivity, we can accelerate a sustainable mobility future.

“We hope today’s action will spark change by setting an example for private and public sectors to follow worldwide. The Coalition applauds this important step, and we will continue to work with the administration and policymakers to achieve a net-zero future.”
