Manager, Market Regulations Policy
Rodney joined the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility as the Market Regulations Policy Manager in July 2021. At Reimagined Mobility, Rodney leads research exploring how public sector regulations can better guide private transportation operators to help achieve goals around making transportation more equitable, accessible, and sustainable. Rodney has over a decade of experience in government crafting transportation regulations to improve safety, accessibility, consumer protection, and driver welfare. At the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission, the City agency responsible for licensing and regulating taxis and other for-hire services, he developed regulations to improve driver pay, reduce idle mileage, and improve overall efficiency in the ride-hail industry. He also pushed to make data and information more open to improve government transparency and accountability. Previously, he also worked at Populus, a data platform providing digital solutions to help cities manage mobility. He is a 2009 graduate of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.
