Kate’s vision for reimagined mobility is an accessible and connected network of transportation options where the healthy, affordable, and sustainable choice is the easier choice.

Kate Ito joins the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility as a Policy Associate after working at the intersection of urban planning, data analysis, and public health. Kate has explored transit and multimodal networks effects on places, people, and the environment. She enjoys using research and analytics to shape a more sustainable and equitable transportation system. 

Kate has nearly a decade of experience as an analyst and planner in state and local government conducting research and data analytics for a variety of transportation, housing, and health projects and policy assessments for their health impacts. Originally from the Boston area, Kate earned her Master’s in Urban Planning and Environmental Health at Tufts University and her undergraduate in Environmental Science from Skidmore College.
She lives in Seattle, Washington. When Kate is not at work, you might find her on a soccer pitch, a rock wall, or in the mountains.
